New York — Freescale Semiconductor Inc. has improved design efficiency and made a sizable reduction in the number of EDA tool flows the semiconductor maker supports in its global development and design activities around the world. The new design milestones were achieved, in part, through a collaborative multiyear agreement that designated Cadence Design Systems Inc. as Free-scale's primary EDA vendor.
