THE THREE-PHASE ARC FURNACE AS AN ELEMENT OF AN AUTOMATIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM

The influence of thermal processes on the electrical characteristics of the arc and the parameters of an electric arc furnace as a control object are considered. The electrical functions of a two-layer arc model are generalised and the basic functions of the cylindrical part of the arc are calculated. It is shown that the functions of the voltage gradient and the electrode displacement gradient are non-linear and multi-factor.
