Non Conventional Energy Sources to reduce Dependency on Fossil Fuels

Energy crisis during 1970s created a pertinent need to find and develop alternative energy sources, such as fossil fuels: coal, gas, nuclear energy and renewable energy resources. For harnessing any energy source, Dr. Bhabha remarked, 'No power is costlier than no power1 implying lack of power imposes a severe economic penalty. Renewable resources replenish faster than humans consume them. However the degree of research to economize cost is very lacking while fossil fuels and petroleum products are thrust upon mankind as a source of energy!
