Unix versus Windows NT: The controversy continues

In the Dec 3, 1998, issue of EDN, technical editor Maury Wright wrote an editorial about Unix and Windows NT. We've been flooded with comments; some are reproduced below. Unix is what NT wants to be when it grows up. Even I have to admit that the market-share handwriting is on the wall, though. The Tucker was a better car, and OS/2 was the better OS, but where are they today? I hope the future IT people in college now discovering Linux and FreeBSD won't allow Microsoft's marketing to brainwash them.
