Version 6 of IndigoVision's VideoBridge technology lets you design consumer-video applications at realistic cost. You can simultaneously stream as many as 100 channels of compressed video to or from a hard-disk platform that is comparable in cost with an analog VCR. Indigo Vision expects immediate applications in areas such as security and surveillance and in-flight video on demand. Version 6 offers 40% lower power consumption than the previous version, as well as lower building costs, better video quality, and larger reductions in capital cost of central-storage facilities. Overall operating costs can be 10% of those of analog systems.
