Multi-Contact MPC power-link modular plug rides rails

Multi-Contact AG designed its MPC modular plug connector for power transmission in electric-rail vehicles, but the modular design suits a range of applications. Rated at 3600V and up to 700A, the units can be used for connecting transform-ers, traction motors, inverters, and batteries as well as intercarriage power links. The MPC can combine up to 15 single-pole power contacts, with up to five joined side by side in up to three layers.
