Effect of deregulation on hydrothermal systems with transmission constraints

In this paper, a procedure is presented to compute power transactions among hydrothermal utilities in deregulated power pools. The paper examines the problem of price definition in utilities with hydro and thermal resources. The approach is tested on an example and the results are discussed.
