FERC CONVENES TECHNICAL CONFERENCE ON CLEAN POWER PLAN

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) convened a technical conference on February 19 to address the compliance implications of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) proposed Clean Power Plan. Under the Plan, developed under section 111 (d) of the Clean Air Act, EPA proposes complex guidelines for states to reduce existing carbon dioxide emissions levels, focusing on existing electric generating units.
