Prototyping of electronic designs is time-consuming and risky. Normally this process requires you to write your algorithms in C and then translate them into an HDL language (VHDL or Verilog). There are several C-language-based design tools that . take this approach. Of course, they require some HDL expertise on the part of the designer. Also, code translation introduces risks and errors.
