Fans in Lower Manhattan of the lifestyle guru Martha Stewart now have to watch her daily home-making show at two in the morning. But they get to see more of Ms Stewart herself than ever. Her regular show has been relegated to the middle of the night to make way for the extravaganza coming from Manhattan's local federal courthouse in Foley Square: United States of America v Martha Stewart and Peter Bacanovic (her stockbroker). After a protracted search to find a dozen jurors who had not already formed an unshakable opinion about Ms Stewart, the case finally began on January 27th. It promises much.
