But as mobile devices accumulate new power-sapping features, battery technology has been struggling to keep up. This led Yrjoe Neuvo, the chief technologist at Nokia, the world's largest handset-maker, to warn of an impending mobile-energy crisis last year. But now several new developments could be about to come to the rescue.
