Since the ill-fated war against Hizbullah in Lebanon, Israeli politics has been in turmoil. A poll last week in the Yediot Achronot newspaper found that in an election now, the centre-right Likud and the nationalist, Russian-speakers' party, Yisrael Beiteinu, would get 22 and 20 seats in parliament, roughly double what they have now, while Kadima and Labour, the main parties in the governing coalition, would drop to just 15 seats each.
