Inflation in the euro area slowed slightly to 2.7%in May, a tenth of a percentage point lowerthan the ratein April. Prices of transport, housing, and alcoholand tobacco increased most rapidly in theyearto May. Estonia had the highest inflation in the region: prices there rose by 5.5% in the year to May.
