The hiccup of introspection that followed Margaret Thatcher's death last month is half-forgotten in Westminster now. David Cameron, the Conservative prime minister, and Ed Miliband, his Labour Party counterpart, are glad to have got through it undi-minished. But in an unexalted corner of Parliament, the office of Frank Field, a sense of grieving persists.
