Information Literacy instruction in the university education: Infrastructure for improving the ability for practical use of information

One of the important subjects in the university education is "information liter- acy instruction" for the infrastructure to improve the ability for practical use of information. In this article, I discuss the definition, concept, related fields and skills. Then, I show three case studies of the lecture on bibliographic instruction, library research methods and report writing skill at Hi- meji Dokkyo University and Surugadai University.
