A New Phenomenon in Phase Transformations of Gas-Condensate Systems and Its Experimental Study

The retrograde processes that occur during phase transformations in hydrocarbon systems have attracted great interest. The retrograde process is commonly observed in systems consisting of two or more components. It is only in those systems in which the saturation and condensation lines make up high-angle joins and become equal (correspondingly: cricondentherm to critical temperature and criconden-bar to critical pressure) that this process does not develop. Based on the available and our new experimental and analytical studies, an attempt is made to explain some aspects of the retrograde processes that occur during phase transformations in natural hydrocarbon systems. It is known that the chemical bonds that exist between components of hydrocarbons do not depend on pressure and temperature. Liquid and gas phases of multicomponent systems and their molecules interact physically, determining in particular the phase transitions and retrograde processes.
