El Reglamento Europeo sobre la Evaluación de la Toxicidad y la Autorización de los Productos Químicos, REACH, constituye toda una novedad en relación a la protección de la salud y el medio ambiente. Entró en vigor el 1 de junio de 2007 y establece las condiciones para el empleo de sustancias químicas a lo largo de la cadena de suministro. A través de este artículo, el lector podrá conocer en profundidad las novedades que aporta este Reglamento, a quién aplica, así como los plazos de adaptación a la normativa.%The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances, REACH, is a new Eu-rnropean Community Regulation devoted to the protection of human health and the environment. Introduced in June 2007, it aims to achieve a better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances through the supply chain. This article explores the new Regulation, to whom it applies as well as its application deadlines.
