At the end of 2007, the LNG fleet stood at 248 vessels totaling approximately 31.6m cu.m. There were 30 new deliveries adding approximately 4.6m cu.m to the LNG fleet. New orders were few as compared to the previous two years, with only 19 new vessels being ordered accounting for 3.5m cu.m. The orderbook at the end of the year stood at approximately 22.0m cu.m. However, the year saw new ship design innovations in the ship-building industry. Flex LNG ordered three 90,000 cu.m FPSO/FRU, which will have onboard liquefaction facilities.
