As the year moved to a close, a number of vessels were delivered to the operating chemical tanker fleet. The chemical tanker fleet thus was estimated at 3,444 vessels aggregating 69.8m dwt. Over the previous month, the chemical fleet increased by 39 vessels of 0.9m dwt. Over a period of one year, the chemical tanker fleet has grown sharply in volumes. Our records suggest that during 2007, the fleet grew by 353 vessels of 8.0m dwt.
