We lost the battles, but we fought them!

The main thrill in the second year of the Volkspalast project was to set up a huge installation that would blaze the place with an imaginary appearance and draw a big audience into a building which according to its opponents had been dead for 15 years. Our objective was to prove that the Palast der Republik was an amazing site for a cultural display of Berlin's independent artistic scene, experienced in its own transfigurations and in setting up strong temporary statements.
