It's late in my Manhattan hotel room, or maybe it's early in Milan, where the person I am thinking of is still asleep. Perhaps that's why I can't sleep. I write. Keeping me company is the usual bottle of mineral water. Rather, it's not the usual one, looking at it closer. Never seen or drank it before. A shame, because it has just the right taste for a good water: faintly 'mineral' but highly 'natural'. Ha un nome esotico, di isole che non ho mai visto e mai vedrò, isole dove ancora sopravvive la foresta pluviale, dove non scendono piogge acide, pare: una specie di Eden di confine, un'utopia no global, dove non si condivide il destino mortale del capitalismo e delle sue storture.
