THE CENTURY OF THE CHILD

The Odder prams loved by the Danish royal family, the indestructible Winther tricycle, Kay Bojesen's wooden toys (below) and the Lego all feature in the "Century of the Child" exhibition at the Danish Design Centre in Copenhagen (until 30.8.2015). Inspired by Swedish pedagogue Ellen Key, who promoted child creativity in 1900, the exhibition echoes "Century of the Child: Growing by Design 1900-2000" held at the MoMA in 2012, but shifts the focus to northern European designs.
