摘要

With one of the longest and most culturally varied histories of any world city, Istanbul is a monument to the idea of the city as a physical record of its evolving history. It represents collisions of time, space and organisation. The Yenikapi project introduces a new organisational force into Istanbul that weaves together the site's incongruent features into a series of urban matrices that enliven the city as a whole.
