Thoughtfulness toward the environment means keeping in mind the full circle of sustainability, where the entire life cycle of products is taken into consideration - production, maintenance and disposal. In particular, the latter point has become the focus of a new critical approach. The diminishing of the world's raw materials requires that designers and architects in particular take as their primary objective the fostering and recycling of natural resources. This Domus supplement dedicated to green thinking features virtuous projects that transmit such positive attitudes. We have mixed different spheres of creation -technological clothing, poetic objects and basic products for developing countries - in our search for items that reverberate with green consciousness. There is a totemic wooden hourglass that gives form and visibility to the consumption of the planet's resources.
