The Venice Architecture Biennale 2018, which closes its doors on 25 November 2018, glorifies architecture that seeks to reassert itself via a so-called principle of disciplinary autonomy; one that rejects the influence of other scientific and human disciplines (e.g. ecology and economics) and present-day factors (e.g. global warming), highlighting traditional construction techniques and classical materials such as stone, brick and wood, and reviving its true history.
