Sustainability at Harvard University: Historic campus embraces integrated energy strategies

The growing concern over climate change has made it clear that institutions everywhere need to reduce the impact their operations have on the environment - and there are plenty of opportunities to do this. The various approaches to achieving this include modifying behavior, reducing building energy use, improving energy production efficiencies and other measures. Though it may be the oldest university in the nation, Harvard University, founded 1636, is one institution that is aggressively pursuing the relatively modern notions of creating energy efficiencies and sustainability.
