摘要

Aging steam systems can be compared to that old car that seems to need a major overhaul every time you take it in for an oil change. Either you keep pumping money into it in an effort to maintain the status quo or you make an investment in a newer efficient model that will use less fuel, cost you less to maintain and offer improved reliability. The energy savings of converting an aging steam system to a more efficient hot water-based system are well-documented in the district energy community. Often the decision to undertake such a project does not begin with a "why?" but rather a "when?"
