EVAPCO Inc. has acquired majority ownership of SEMCO Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Division, Located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company is now operating under the name EVAPCO SEMCO Equipamentos de Refrigeracao Ltda. The acquisition is mutually beneficial: EVAPCO gains a manufacturing presence in South America, expanding its global footprint in the commercial HVAC, industrial refrigeration, power generation and industrial process markets; and SEMCO is now able to grow its business in South America by incorporating EVAPCO's product lines into its offerings, including the latest advancements in heat transfer efficiency, water conservation and sound reduction technology. Headquartered in Taneytown, Md., EVAPCO now manufactures products in 20 locations in 10 countries around the world.
