Unique gray method for visually measuring the white point of CRT displays

Method of visually measuring the white point of a CRT display is presented, which utilizes a unique gray at the apex of the pinkish, brownish, greenish, bluish, and purplish gray areas of the chromaticity diagram. Through a graphic user interface, the user selects the unique gray point from a chromaticity diagram. From the color coordinate of the selected color point, one can solve the color coordinate of the display white point. Experiment shows that the results agree to the white point measured with a spectroradiometer.
