ATSC 3.0 trials and deployments are currently underway in the U.S., creating a critical need for service assurance equipment that will make the transition as seamless as possible for broadcasters. Compared with ATSC 1.0, the ATSC 3.0 broadcast ecosystem is more complex, opening up a greater chance for errors that can degrade audio and video quality, or interrupt services altogether. To successfully roll out ATSC 3.0 broadcasts without disrupting service to existing TV viewers, stations require service assurance solutions that support channel sharing, the repack, and dual-standards broadcasting.
