Like our industry colleagues, we have been impacted by this unprecedented crisis, as most airlines in the world have been delaying maintenance events. However, we have been able to minimise such impact by adapting and customising our services portfolio and offerings, focusing on customers willing to carry out maintenance tasks to ensure that their aircraft are ready to go back into service when it is safe to do so. We have been, and still are, performing for both Etihad Airways and third-party airline customers cabin refresh programmes, passenger to freighter conversions, service bulletins like the longeron modification, parking solutions, painting and standard heavy maintenance checks. For all of us at Etihad Engineering, circumstances change, but what does not change is our commitment to our customers. We will do whatever it takes to deliver on our promises. In order to keep our doors open, we have taken a range of stringent measures to ensure the health and safety of our people at work - from installation of thermal scanners at entry points, to the mandatory use of necessary PPE in all areas of operation, social distancing, re-organised work and shift patterns, online meetings with colleagues and customers across different locations, and more. These measures have enabled us to not just deliver ongoing projects but also bring in new business.
