De.mem launches next generation graphene oxide-enhanced membrane

Traders marked the share price of ASX-listed water treatment company De.mem up significantly earlier this month after the company announced the launch of a new breed of graphene oxide-enhanced membranes. Rather than coating existing membranes with a graphene oxide layer (see main story), De.mem's method infuses graphene oxide nanoparticles into standard polymeric membranes during the manufacturing process. The company claims that this can not only increase the flux by between 20% and 50%, but also reduces the fouling tendency.
