Multivariable Decoupling Control of Aviation Turbofan Engines

Gas turbine engines must be operated by means of control, and how to satisfy engine control constraints, while achieving the optimal performance of engine is an open thorny issue. Following the essence that control design is searching for the inverse of system, a multivariable decoupling control is proposed by combining the nonlinear dynamic inverse and the constrained optimal control, in which the engine is compensated into a pseudo-linear system. Then, the closed-loop control synthesis is designed based on the classic linear control theory. The simulation results show the resultant closed-loop system has good decoupling characteristics and dynamic and static response.
