In the delivery operation of steel plate yard, there will be conflicts when multi-crane operate, affect the operation-efficiency of crane and reduce the operation-efficiency of the yard. To solve the problem, the crane scheduling optimization model is established to minimize the delivery operation time. An Improved-Hybrid-Genetic-Algorithm (IHGA) is proposed to solve the model; the Simulation-Based-Decoding-Strategy (SBDS) is designed to generate feasible scheduling schemes and evaluate solutions. Case studies showed that SBDS could effectively solve the problem of crane conflicts, IHGA has better global search ability and faster convergence speed, which can effectively reduce the operation time and improve scheduling efficiency.
