RESEARCH ON THE ROLE OF TOURISM IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT:?BASED ON AN ECOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

Eco-tourism is a special form of conventional tourism, which emphasizes the use of tourism activ-ities to obtain economic benefits on the basis of protecting natural and cultural eco-tourism re-sources. Now that the tourism industry is develop-ing rapidly, the continuous development and utili-zation of eco-tourism resources can better promote the development of regional tourism economy. Based on analysis and investigation, this paper establishes a quantitative evaluation index system and evaluation model for ecotourism development, uses analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of each evaluation index, introduces a cou-pling coordination degree model, and obtains a quantitative evaluation result. The research results show that the degree of coupling and coordination between ecotourism and economy is maintained between 0-1, and the stability is good. In order to create a better tourism environment, it is necessary to establish a reasonable development goal for the tourism industry, optimize the overall industrial structure, enable the coordinated development of tourism and the economy, and enhance the support of external hardware. At the same time, it is neces-sary to grasp the internal soft power of development. Strengthen government guidance and macro-control, support and cooperate with the development of tourism.
