European Heart Journal—Case Report (EHJ-CR) has expanded significantly since its founding in 2017. The central philosophy of EHJ-CR has, from the start, been to act as an educational environment for the cardiology community.1 This educational focus takes on a number of faces within the journal; however, a major focus has been in training young cardiologist and trainees in the fundamental of peer review and scientific editing. This focus must be balanced against the need to provide an excellent editing and reviewing experience for our authors.
