Ergodic limits for inhomogeneous evolution equations

Let u satisfy an inhomogeneous wave equation such as u00(t) + A2u(t) = h(t), u(0) = f , u0(0) = g.We show that in many cases, the limit as t → ∞ of 1t R0t u(s)ds exists, and can be calculated explicitly.
