High costs and specificity of implementation involve high risks throughout the investment and construction process. Over the years, project management methodologies have been developed that facilitate, among other things, the management of risk factors This article reviews the recommendations for risk management in each methodology. In addition, their usefulness have been evaluated in railway construction.
