Sites often complain that study sponsors do not treat them with the respect they deserve. They want to be treated like customers, not vendors, which is what they actually are. Of course, most sites employ physicians, who might very well have a warm spot on their prescription pads for the study sponsor’s products — thus the origin of the wonderfully corrupt “seeding study.” But is this distinction missing the point: We are all people and all deserving of respect— now isn’t that a lot simpler? What am I missing here.
