摘要

Introduction: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is aneffective treatment for aortic stenosis (AS) in high-risk patients, suchas those who are suffering ESRD on hemodialysis. We previouslyshowed that long-term survival of hemodialysis patients underwentTAVI was lower than that of non-hemodialysis patients but wascomparable with that of hemodialysis patients treated with surgicalaortic valve replacement. It is known that hemodialysis is a high riskof the bioprosthetic structural valve deterioration (SVD) after valvereplacement surgery. Consistently, higher incidence of re-TAVIoperation due to restenosis was observed in hemodialysis patientsthan in non-hemodialysis patients (Odds ratio [OR]:29.4, p<0.001). Inthis study, we aimed to identify predictors of SVD in post-TAVI he-modialysis patients.
