Complex systems are the systems that consist ofa great many diverse and autonomous but interactingand interdependent components whose aggregatebehaviors are nonlinear. As phased by Aristotle, “thewhole is more than the sum of its parts;” properties ofcomplex systems are not a simple summation of theirindividual parts.
