摘要

In 2016, it was revealed that many children and pregnant womenhad been injured or killed by disinfectants for home humidifiersin South Korea (hereafter Korea). Criminal trials against thecompanies that manufactured, imported, or sold such productsare now under way and a consumer boycott against them hasgained widespread public support, however, more fundamentalchanges toward a society that is safe from toxic chemicals haveyet to be achieved.
