Space Charges as Pre-breakdown Phenomena in Solid Dielectrics A Concise Approach and Some Critical Comments

This short review deals with some aspects of spacecharges in solid dielectrics, and, in particular, in polymericmaterials. The relationship between space charges and pre-breakdown events is discussed and the importance of spacecharges for the breakdown of solid dielectrics is emphasized.
