The whole mol-ecule of the title compound, C 16 H 20 N 2 O 8 , is generated by inversion symmetry. The adjacent carboxyl-ate groups [C(=O)—O—C] are inclined to the pyrazine ring by 72.40?(10) and 19.64?(10)°, and to one another by 68.21?(12)°. In the crystal, mol-ecules stack along the a -axis direction but there are no significant inter-molecular inter-actions present.
