The crystal structure of the title compound, C 18 H 13 Cl 2 NO 2 , at 120?K has triclinic ( P ) symmetry. The mol-ecule demonstrates non-planarity in the solid state and a Z configuration for the exocyclic C=C bond. The Z form is stabilized by the presence of an intra-molecular N—H?O hydrogen bond with an O?H inter-atomic distance of 2.18?(2)??.
