摘要

The inhibition effect of 3-bromo-2-phenylimidazol[1,2- ]pyridine on the corrosion behaviour of C38steel in 0.5M H2SO4 solution was investigated using weight loss, potentiostatic polarization andelectrochemical impedance spectroscopy methods. The inhibition efficiency increased as theconcentration of the inhibitors was increased. The effect of temperature on corrosion inhibition wasinvestigated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method and thermodynamic parameters werecalculated. Potentiodynamic polarization measurements show that the studied inhibitor acts as mixedinhibitor. The adsorption of inhibitors on C38 steel surface obeys Langmuir adsorption isotherm.
