Blogging from behindthe scenes

With a theme of social media running throughout this issue of Catalogue & Index it seemed the ideal time toexplore some of the issues surrounding the practice of blogging and cataloguing. In this case we are not discussing examples of individuals talking about what they do, or their opinion on topical issues, but the idea ofblogging from a cataloguing department as a whole. We both have responsibility for our departmental blogs,but one of us is from an academic library and the other from a public library, and so we are going to offer twodifferent perspectives from the world of departmental blogging.
