A simple formula for predicting compressive strength of circular HCCFST stub columns under axial compression

Based on the published experimental results, the applicabilityof the empirical formulae and the proposed formula wasinvestigated in this paper. From the investigation, the followingconclusions can be drawn:(1) A confinement coefficient ηc is proposed to reflect theconfinement effect of concrete strength in axially loadedcircular HCCFST stub columns;
