Two US oilfield water acquisitions were announced in as many weeks this month, signalling a revival in M&A activity that had largely dried up since the oil & gas downturn. Bison Oilfield Services acquired Woody Creek Midstream in the SCOOP play in Oklahoma, while Blackbuck Resources bought 65 miles of pipeline and 100,000 bbl/d of produced water disposal capacity from Cimarex Energy in New Mexico.
