White House and water industry groups criticise passage of PFAS bill

The House of Representatives passed sweeping legislation this month designed to expand federal regulatory oversight of hazardous perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in US water sources. The PFAS Action Act has been met with overwhelming criticism by water industry groups, however, and even prompted the White House to announce that it would veto the legislation if it ends up being passed in the Senate.
